I’m Mickalia, a Brooklyn native who oozes Caribbean heritage through performance and artwork. My primary focus is acting for film and television. Additionally, I have strong interests in singing, writing and producing. I am heavily attracted to work that pushes boundaries, discusses politics, and focuses on diversity.
I recently graduated from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, where I received my BFA in Drama. I have studied at the Experimental Theatre Wing, NYU's Abu Dhabi campus and at Stonestreet studios.
While navigating my life as an actress in NYC, I have taken on other pursuits. I currently serve as the Producing Artistic Associate of the Affirmation Theatre Company. This year I served as a featured producer for the 2021 Pro Black One Acts Festival that featured dynamic short plays with Black protagonists.
Since 2021I have performed in numerous independent films, commercial work and filmed a proof of concept pilot for Warner Media.
